Practica and Milonga

Hi everyone,

There’s no excuse for not getting enough practice in this week:

Hot on the heels of our regular monthly Milonga last Saturday, there’s another Milonga this Saturday (5th) as part of SalsaBelfast’s Windsor night. These events aren’t normally so close together, but our January Milonga was later than usual. It was good to see a few more beginners venturing out last Saturday – there were no reports of injuries! This Saturday’s Milonga is in Windsor Lawn Tennis Club, Windsor Avenue (between the Malone and Lisburn Roads) from about 9.30pm until after midnight, price £6. The Tango is in the downstairs room, while there is Salsa upstairs if you fancy a change. There will be a ½ hour taster class for beginners around about 9.30. More details of the event:
                                                                                  http://salsabelfast.com/news/dismsg.php?id=543

Before then, you can always get a bit more practice at our regular Thursday Practica – much more informal than the Milongas. We normally use it as a chance to go over the steps taught the previous Monday (if we haven’t forgotten them already!). Venue: THE WEST, Falls Road, from 8pm to 10pm (drop in anytime), price £2. The West is on the Falls between La Salle Park and La Salle Drive. If you turn into La Salle Drive, the car park can be accessed from it. Enter from the car park and we’re upstairs.

January Milonga Photos

Another great Milonga!

There was plenty of dancing, good food and great fun.

It also happened to be Alastair's birthday ( he wouldn't tell us his age) but he was able to dance with quite a few girls.

Here he is ( I have to admit that he's a pretty good dancer).
